The Lacuna series is a contemporary exploration of Japanese marbling (suminagashi), created by photographing liquid acrylics, sometimes blended with wax, at a micro scale. Each image captures the 'lacuna'—the fleeting, unfilled space between colors in the moment just before they merge and solidify.
