Ash Welwood is a visual artist based in Montréal. Her work in painting, mixed media, and digital collage is defined by vibrant color and detailed texture. Her paintings evoke atmospheres shifting between abstraction and landscape to reveal organic elements: trees, flowers, animals, and the feminine form. Built in layers over time and guided by sound, her work inhabits a balance between melancholy and lightness, interrogating cycles of fantasy and disillusion, death and rebirth, and the resilience of the feminine spirit.

This exploration of inner landscapes is also the foundation of Wondrous Being, her mind-body studio for somatic guidance and movement.
