ulu

These works were created using photography, acrylic paint, and an ulu—a knife traditionally used by Inuit, Yupik, and Aleut women.
In folklore, the ulu is a visionary tool for cutting through illusion. It symbolizes feminine insight: the power to make decisive endings,
carve new beginnings, and, when necessary, reduce something to ashes in order to create anew.
