Woven Harmony, 2024
Grass & textile art installation by Chloe Berlin in collaboration with C2

Nature is a universal language, and artist Chloe Berlin uses this language with childlike wonder to imagine a future where we live in harmony with our environment. Her art embodies the wisdom of nature, acting as an amplification of its lessons in harmony, impermanence, surrender, joy, abundance of beauty, and slowing down. Her work reminds us to not only respect nature but also that we are nature.

This bespoke installation for kyu House conveys a space where human design lives harmoniously with nature. Inspired by a weave as a symbol of assembling and enabling gatherings of people from diverse sectors to explore, share, debate, and create ideas, natural linen fabric is woven with long grasses native to the local area. Suspended elements amplify the chaotic abundance of nature, making something human-made feel nature-made. The central circle represents the cycles of nature and speaks to humans and nature working together in unity. Woven Harmony inspires a more fluid and organic approach to how we live and interweave with nature. The materials can be taken down and turned back into their original form ready for another purpose.

Climate Week NYC hosted by kyu House is a three day series of workshops, panels, discussions, debates, and networking in the West Village of NYC. The experience brings relevant and engaging content around climate change with the purpose of promoting climate action by appealing to business leaders, political change makers, local decision takers and civil society representatives.

Over the course of three days (September 23-25, 2024), more than a thousand guests braved diplomatic and presidential gridlock to check out kyu House dialogues, workshops, and debates from BEworks, C2, Gehl, IDEO, IDEO.org, Kepler, and SYPartners, along with partners like Kite Insights, BSR, World Resources Institute, Rocky Mountain Institute, the Aspen Institute, LinkedIn, and others.

Creativity in action was on full display as kyu House took on: gender x climate; what motivates sustainable lifestyle decisions; the space between climate and AI; the importance of cities in the climate fight; the importance of empowering next-generation leaders; whether climate action needs American political leadership; and more.
